NADC 2025 Highlights Safety & Loss Award

FEDERATED MUTUAL INSURANCE PRESENTS THE 2025 SAFETY & LOSS AWARD Federated Mutual Insurance presented the 2025 Safety & Loss Award to Crown Power & Equipment Co. during NAEDA’ s North American Dealer Conference, held November 17-19, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.

This year’ s recipient is a particularly fitting choice. Crown Power & Equipment Co. is not only a leader in safety and risk management, but also a past recipient of NAEDA’ s prestigious Dealer of the Year Award – a testament to the organization’ s long-standing commitment to excellence.
A Turning Point in Risk Management
While risk management has always been an important part of Crown Power’ s operations, it was not always the dealership’ s top priority. Early on, they experienced some loss challenges. Recognizing the need for change, leadership made the decision to completely transform its approach to risk management.
Through focused effort, education, and accountability, Crown Power has achieved remarkable results – earning recognition as a model of safety leadership within the industry.
Growth Built on People and Purpose
Founded in 1992 with just two stores, Crown Power & Equipment Co. has experienced steady and strategic growth over more than three decades:
• 1993: Acquired a third store
• 1995: Opened a new location
• 1998 & 1999: Additional stores added
• 2013 & 2017: Continued expansion with new locations
• 2019 & 2022: Expanded footprint through acquisitions
• October 2025: Opened another location
Today, Crown Power operates 12 locations plus a corporate office in Columbia, Missouri. The dealership credits this sustained growth to its dedicated employees and valued customers, whose commitment and trust have fueled the company’ s success.
Proactive Practices That Reduce Losses
Crown Power’ s safety success is no accident. The dealership has implemented a number of intentional ongoing practices to minimize losses and workplace injuries, including:
• A risk management committee with one employee representative from each location
• Monthly committee meetings to determine safety focus areas

• Regular in-store safety meetings held on the 7th of each month – known as“ 7 Minutes on the 7th”
• Participation in Federated’ s 2½ day Risk Management Academy for two consecutive years
• Hosting Federated’ s 1-Day Risk Management Academy three times in the past four years in Missouri
• Full implementation of Federated’ s Drive Safe Telematics across all company vehicles
