Western Farm Show Concludes Successful 2026 Event:
A Celebration of Agriculture, Innovation, and Community in Kansas City, MO by NAEDA STAFF
The Western Farm Show successfully wrapped its 64th annual event at the American Royal Complex, drawing farmers, ranchers, agricultural professionals, students, and families from across the Midwest for three days of exhibits, education, and industry networking.
This year’ s show, held February 19- 21, featured hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest in farm machinery, precision ag technology, livestock equipment, crop inputs, and rural lifestyle products across more than 400,000 square feet of exhibit space.
“ The Western Farm Show remains a vital meeting place for the agricultural community. We’ re proud to provide an environment where producers and industry partners can explore new technologies, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships.”- Jami Applegate, Director of Farm Shows
Attendees participated in equipment demonstrations, educational seminars, and conversations with manufacturers and service providers. Applegate noted that strong attendance reflects the value of in‐person interaction in agriculture.“ Farmers appreciate the ability to see equipment firsthand and speak directly with experts,” she said.“ Those connections are irreplaceable.”
Youth engagement was a highlight of Friday’ s programming. More than 4,600 FFA students visited the show to meet with colleges, workforce training organizations, equipment dealers, and ag professionals. Over 100 students competed in the National Ag Challenge, an agricultural mechanics competition endorsed by the National FFA Organization.
“ Welcoming so many students each year is especially meaningful,” Applegate said.“ They represent the future of agriculture, and the show provides them with opportunities to explore careers, gain hands‐on experience, and connect with industry leaders.”
Family‐friendly exhibits were also featured in the Family Living Center, where visitors enjoyed shopping, dining, and live animal displays, including goats and kangaroos.
Applegate expressed gratitude to exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees for contributing to another successful year. Planning is already underway for the 2027 Western Farm Show, continuing its commitment to innovation, education, and industry collaboration.
